Pacing back and forth she went at the tree-line. Darkness had fallen upon the land which was a good time to move about. Not that she didn't like moving during the day but she would be less noticeable. Sapphire orbs scanned the darkened terrain before her judging her next steps. "It'll be okay, Isias. Besides, there would be more abundant food sources." Faramond said hanging from a tree behind her.

She huffed, silently giving a glance back towards him and then looked back towards the open land again. Nicely curved claws sunk into the dampened ground before she stopped her pacing. She could do this. It was just like hunting right. Going through different lands. Her eyes shut as she recalled her family's last words. "We'll be back soon, Isias. You stay here and protect the forest." her father said. If only then she had realized it was nothing but a lie.

"And wear this. It'll protect you." mother had said, giving her a necklace decorated with bird skulls and feathers. It had been passed down through the family. Also representing family members as a guardian of the forest. Slender banner swayed slightly as she began pacing again. Would the forest be okay without her presence? What if another sibling came back and tried to take it. The forest really didn't belong to anyone, not even herself. She just lived there and kept the balance. A frustrated growl left her now.

The darkness crept upon the forest, and with it the small glow that seemed to cling to his very fur.
The wolf was an impressive size, handsomely black and tan ombre with racing stripes about his sides. The deer skull that sat atop his darkened crown was unsettling, yes, but his most jarring aspect was the scaring on his right side. His face was almost completely exposed to bone and teeth from maw to cheek, making the skull mask an accessory to his haunting figure.

He crept through the forest, barely a whisper of a sound, light-pawed and, despite his fearsome appearance, mostly unseen. A tiny spectre clung to his back, a whisp of shining silver in the growing darkness.
Suddenly, he stopped, his paws light as he beheld a dark creature. A quick scent told him she lived and breathed in these woods, though their was no territorial claim. Interesting. He watched the beast of shadows as she paced, her familiar hanging by her. While he couldn't hear the worlds her familiar spoke, he could tell it was frustration that drove her. She did not stop her pacing as she let out a growl.

Without knowing why -- he seemed to be exposing himself to many dangers and unknown wolves, these days -- he purposefully let her know he was there, by crunching a dried, brown leaf to his side.
His head gave a small, curious tilt as his light, blue eyes seemed to ask the question for him. But still, many were not aware that he was not one often for words, and Reeva...she slept, the absence of the sun making her weak.

“Hello?” such eloquence from his lips. Still, he approached with caution, question still in the tilt of his skulled head.

This was her time.

The nightfall brought with it her lovely shadows which clung to her body like hungry souls tending to the call of their mistress. Honestly she hadn't a single clue what she was doing back up in this area, perhaps since running into Sohvren she was searching for a piece of her past she'd forgotten a long time ago. The piece which included him, when they lived with their coven and times were good, back before the destruction, and before the bloodshed. Back before...she closed her eyes as she came to land, paws touching down delicately as a single sigh passed her lips, her brightly hued crow perching himself upon her rump nearest to the base of her tail. Only until the crimson fae moved her wings, folding them neatly against her sides would the bird move with a light caw in protest, with no other choice but to find another place to relax. So instead he found himself between her wings and shoulder blades, curling himself into a content ball of navy and emerald feathers tucking his head beneath her own ebon feathers so he might hide himself there — and sleep.

Sonja hardly acknowledged him, gentle footfalls carrying her though a land that was much more familiar to her than the densely packed woodlands of Nidria's heart. The woman pushed through the darkness, her shadows nearly cloaking her entirety, which made most of her body appear almost invisible as she sunk into them “Hello?”  The familiar call was not directed to her, but she picked out his voice easily, crimson laced ears drawing upon her crown as her heart lurched within her chest, breath catching slightly she even paused. Unsure what to do.

Still, subconsciously she moved forward again, the pause in her steps short lived she would come up behind the man slightly off to his right side, her body seeming to form at his side as the shadows reluctantly pulled from her — she only glanced at him. "Sohvren," came gentle greeting, her eyes quickly flickering back to the darkness. "Who's there?" the question was soft, curiosity lining her words which were directed at both Sohvren and the stranger who was upon them.

"Any day while we're both still young, Isi." Faramond teased and she flicked her plumage of a tail towards him. It was easier for him to say. He knew a bit about the outside world of the forest. When they met, his small colony had made roost in the forest when she was smaller and they met and he stuck with her. Isias knew nothing of what lay beyond the forest. But it had started to become quite clear that she was interested in finding out.

She paused briefly in her pacing then the crunch of a leaf caused her attention to be ripped away from her decision making briefly. But she didn't really move her head until words filtered out through the air. Sapphire orbs scanned through the background briefly before stopping on a figure. Her body moved to face the male and with a quick glance over him, she noticed the male had a skull covering his face. She started to answer and a female's voice drifted towards her. "Who's not there?" she spoke softly. "I did not realize that others had entered the forest."

Had the forest already given up on telling her when someone new had come around? All because she was leaving? She was starting to feel more and more guilty about this whole plan to leave. And it wasn't like she  hadn't planned on ever returning.
