t'was dark by the time she left her previous encounter.

the young woman roamed aimlessly, without a care in the world seemingly. she had no direction in mind. it was unknown if this realm had communities to join. yet she would not anyway. at least, not right away. packs, tribes, bands... they were all the same to her. a common goal had to be formed in order to join a cause, and a cause required like-minded individuals. the whole concept was foreign to her. why dedicate herself to one thing? there was plenty in the world. so much wonder and magic. tying herself down so early... did not sit well with the woman.

and so, she wandered. Tarot picked a direction at random, finding herself still within the map of these woodlands. she did not seem to mind, though it was difficult at times to know what she was even thinking of. her face was always quite neutral, a far-off look in her lilac eyes as she glanced around. it was as if she was not even there mentally. perhaps she'd run into a tree. perhaps not. the young woman continued to step lightly as if tentative of the world around her. this place was still quite foreign to her. it was an unknown. anything could happen. she could get injured, and she knew not if this realm held the plants she knew to use. her eyes attempted to adjust to the night, finding only inky blackness ahead of her.

was she lost? maybe. but she did not admit it.

" Just around the riverbend "

She didn't sleep soundly, instead she'd drawn herself from the confines and comfort of the den in the middle of the night, only to end up on a night time stroll with Atarah. The glow of her little body leading the way like a small lantern which floated ahead of her, she couldn't see her little birds wings, fluttering at a pace that was hard to see even during the day. Through the dark of the giants forest and into the colors of the red gate, Atarah would be her guide, as she often times was. "Hey, wait up Atarah" she would call, her voice but a whisper among the trees as the sound of crunching leaves began to sound beneath her broad steps. The little bird would turn, zipping around near her head weaving between her antlers which would cause the girl to pause, smirking at her familiar as the hummingbird flew back ahead of her which only brought her to smirk picking up her pace to follow the birds glowing body.

Atarah was able to spot the other wolf before Elle was, quickly flying around the purple female to provide her with a flash of light before the hummingbird was gone once again, heading back to tell her wolf of the company they were about to face. Eileithyia could only smile as Atarah stopped just before her face, tilting her head slightly at her companion. A silent conversation that asked, what is it? "It seems we have company," Atarah would chime. Of course as naive as Elle was, no company was a threat to her, unless they were Mundane, and Atarah would of told her if they were, so without hesitation the girl pressed forward following the glow of her bird who led the way to the woman lost in the darkness of the red gate.

She paused, giving the woman her space as Atarah helped to provide a small amount of light between the two women, green audits drawing atop her crown as she studied what she could see of the female. "Hello there," Elle would muse softly. "...can you see out here by yourself?" she couldn't help herself from thinking out loud, for if it wasn't for the glow of her familiar Elle would certainly be lost.

a flash of light shot across her field of vision, momentarily startling and blinding the young woman. she took a step backward, though no snarl was upon her lips nor unease shone in her eyes. she accepted the abnormality as it was. the shape of the light was a bird, cloaked in blue hues though a luminescent glow was obviously seen. as it zipped away, taking the light with it, another being would soon emerge. then the light was back, hovering between the two wolves. from what she could see of the other, they had a mane of earthen hues with foliage upon their coat. the scent told Tarot this was a woman. it was as if the nymphs of old had come to the mortal realm.

"not quite" came to her honeyed tone, lilac gaze focusing now upon the familiar. she was not so blessed to have found something that tethered itself to her. not yet, anyway. her eyes drew away from the hummingbird to the wolf once more. they were not as slender as she, though the woman held her own beauty. "but I shall manage" she would add lightly as if gently telling the earthen woman not to worry or concern herself with such things. she was far from a helpless damsel. her eyes would adjust eventually in the dark, though she was no feline. it would not be a perfect fit. "and who are you, madame?" Tarot's skull tilted ever so slightly as she regarded her company.

" Just around the riverbend "

Soft lyrics, pleasant to her ears found Elle's audits, which curled upright in attention to the womans words as she admitted that she couldn't exactly see, the girl could only smirk innocently. Continuing to assure her that she could handle it, which Elle didn't doubt, she was not one to come to anyones rescue anyway, not that she wouldn't try but she was no hero. Instead she was a simple girl, with simple desires, a sunny day in the forest was all she could bother to ask for most of the time. Peace and tranquility on the top of her list of things she required to be happy.

"and who are you, madame?"  "Eileithyia, but you can call me Elle — and this is Atarah" she explained gently motioning to the small glowing body of her familiar as the bird zipped around to perch herself comfortably upon one of the growths which sprouted from her crown. She always told everyone to call her Elle rather than her full name, knowing that it was a mouthful at best. Her nickname was much more convenient for most to remember and use on a regular basis. Comfortable in the other females presence Elle would lower herself upon her haunches, her long braid cascading down to the earth below as she reclined back slightly as a sigh passed her lips. "And who do we have the pleasure of meeting?" she would ask gently, a soft giggle passing her lips, amused with her own words as she mimicked the other womans proper speech.
