More trees. How was it that she had found herself surround by hundreds of massive trees. After finding a small raven skull while she was exploring, she had managed to find herself in the clutch of the giant. A she travelled through the snow seemed to be thinner, the sun shining and radiating warmth for once during the winter season. Looking up towards the sky, she noticed the collective height of the forest. The trees were a lot taller than she initially saw, but they weren't closely packed and still let in soft sun rays. Much like the her experience at the ravine, she was in awe, trees were one thing that always seemed to impress her, they rarely lacked beauty and they could watch of hundreds of generations for hundreds of years. She waltzed around the forest, weaving between the trees, appreciating the scenery. As she moved she could feel the radiating presence of *something* running through the area, but wasn't too sure of what.

Not watching where she was going, she tripped. In an attempt to regain her balance she clumsily smacked into a tree. "Ouch." She grumbled as she slowly stood upright, and looked at the tree she had managed to bang into. It was absolutely massive, more a wall made of wood than a tree. Picking up the raven skull she had dropped upon impact, she took a few steps. It seemed that the tree stretched on forever. Never before had she seen a tree of such a size, sure she had seen big trees, numerous in fact, but none had ever lived up to the glory of the one before her.

She sat down, admiring the tree, and placing the skull at her feet facing towards it's splendour. She basked in the rare warmth of the sun, reflecting on her thoughts as the snow glistened in the light. "What things have you seen?" She pondered aloud, as she looked towards the sky.

@Sameria I just realised, Sameria probably won't recognise Reis at first as she only gained her markings upon her arrival into Nidria (They appeared when she first began to glow) But s

Her steps were almost delicate as she moved through the forest. The trees were so huge here! Cyan orbs stared in wonder at each one she passed. Today was a good day to see what distant lands she could uncover. The sun was out despite there being snow on the ground and the chill in the air. Whichever way the wind blew, she followed it. And so far it had brought her here. Golden trinkets from home twinkled slightly in the sun once she passed through some rays shining through the canopy.

To think that the stories she had heard as a pup from the elders had really been true. Or well, she figured they were. She had never been this far north before. Sameria had come from way down south past the canyon and then some. Her family had been traders by heart and although Sameria took up the habit, she always wanted to travel further. Why her family hadn't told her there was so much more made her doubt them at times. Earthen banner waved slightly as she suddenly started to pick up her pace. Why shouldn't she be happy today?

As she continued forth, the passing trees becoming a bit of a blur she caught a scent and skidded to a stop. What a familiar scent it was indeed. Changing her course she followed after it before coming upon another tree. But this one seemed to stand out far more than the rest. Eyes were wide as she began to walk around. A chuckle escaped from her as she sat down staring up and then heard someone else speak. Turning, she followed her she had heard the voice then stopped a bit. There was that scent again. It was so familiar. "My guess would be births, deaths, battles, alliances, and so much more." she spoke a kind smile swept across her face.

The scent preceded the voice, yet they were both so familiar. She kept trying to recall the memory, it wasn't anyone she had met in recent months. "I have no doubt," she replied as she stood up and turned around slowly. Who was this wolf, and where were these memories coming from.

Pale rose eyes widened as she saw the woman before her. It was unmistakable, the cyan eyes, golden adornments, her earthly coat, and of course the signature smile upon her face. "Sameria?" She questioned, although there was no doubt in her mind that this was the right woman. A smile now played on her own lips as her tail slowly, she never thought that she would run into a friend again. Her tail whipped back and forth, sweeping the forest floor and picking up snow. The nomad woman had been one of the few wolves who's company she had enjoyed during her journey, but not someone she had expected to find here.

There were so many questions running through her head, she couldn't settle on just one. For once she would be letting her guard down yet again, this was someone that she hoped she could still trust. "You look like you haven't changed a bit." It was a quiet whisper as Polareis moved closer with caution, she could only hope that the other woman recognised her, let alone remembered.

She needed a friend in this land, a proper friend. Seeing Sameria again, she only hoped that the pair would still be friendly. Reis knew that she had changed, in more ways than one, but she hoped Sameria still recognised the woman she had been on her journey. This land was different, it was large and lonely, welcoming yet so cold. There were mysteries hidden in each corner of the earth, and this was one she hoped to uncover with company.
