It had been some time since Ripley had found herself here. She had managed to navigate the area with ease and had even discovered the strange nature of things within the new landscapes. Thus far Ripley had learned that the wolves here where quite different from what she had known before. Where she had lived a life dependent on brawn and brain, these wolves seemed to manipulate the world around them. The dark vixen had managed to isolate a few wolves and gain intel through them. Though she kept to herself for the most part, finding there was a divide among the bulk of wolves. Now she needed to track down the “mundanes” as they called themselves. One friendly young lass had spoken of them to Ripley, insisting that she needed to find them if she wanted to survive. Rip felt she was widely underestimated by the young pup but it was no issue in the end.

Ripley had a general understanding of the beliefs and the ways of life within the lands now, having spent the last several months carefully skirting less populated areas and studying the world around her. Only now was she willing to make her presence known. It had taken the young banshee some time but she had finally caught the scent of the pack known as the Order. Banded tail danced behind her while muzzle grazed the earth, taking in the ever growing scent of multiple wolves.

At this point the tri colored dame found herself at the edge of a deep field with a wall of towering trees before her. This was the pack border and it looked as foreboding as the young lass had described. Ripley's lobes swiveled like sentinels atop her crown, taking in any whisper on the wind, any out of place movement of grass. Her travels had made her weary, and though she knew the typical thing to do was call out to the pack, she found herself content to lay herself in the tall grass just shy of the border and for a moment she would rest. Perhaps a passerby would come by, perhaps not. It made no difference to her for the time being. The wind was in her favor, pushing into the tree lines, meaning that it would in turn push her scent through their lands, she would be detected in due time. For now lids fell over her saffron eyes and body curled loosely as she lay and rest, her ears forever eager to take in the sounds around her.

Klaus Warborn
A warrior fights for what they believe in

The massive brute had spent the last few days wandering aimlessly in the pack lands. He wanted to learn every inch of the lands. After all what good would he be if he didnt know where he was going or even where he needed to go if he was sent out to do something. Long ears flicked on his head as he walked along the outskirts. Bi colored eyes scanned over the lands as he contiued to walk. Now he had seen the leader of the pack out and about with her liter, tho he kept his distance. Afterall he was still very new to the group and he didnt want to upset the leader, at least not quite yet. His run in with the other female, oh what was her name. Venemtress, that was right.

He took a deep breath as he came to a clearing, he had been here before, but it was brief. He stopped for a moment before he sat down and sighed some. Licking his maw he shook his head and groaned some as he lowered his frame down to the ground and rolled onto his back and kicked his legs up into the air. Grunting as he rubbed his back agasint the ground and even rubbing the back side of his head across the ground. Quickly he rolled back over and shook his entire body free of the dirt that clung to his orange pelt. Klaus once again turned his attention to the area around him. Why was he so obessed with learning the lands so quickly?

He snorted some as he got back to his feet and sniffed into the air, a familiar scent rushed his nose as his claws dug into the ground slightly as he whined softly. It was ripley, he knew that scent any where. They had spent many night with each other but things had gone sour. His obessive nature had gotten the better of him and pulled him away from her. But maybe that was a good thing, he knew how much it bothered her. His ears went back slightly as he began to think about what she would say or do when she saw him. Would she be happy? Or would she lash out at him? Either way he wanted to greet her first before Ven had the chance to get to her and give her a damn vial

Klaus pushed off the ground with force as he made his way towards where she was. Now she wasnt to far from where he was so it didnt take long for him to reach where the female was now laying in the tall grass just relaxing. She must have been traveling for a while, she rarely stopped and slept out in the open. As he got closer he lowered his frame closer to the ground attempting to hide himself but it wouldnt help since the wind was blowing right towards her for the moment. But that didnt bother him, he didnt really want to hide from the female

He was in the middle of his usual cat nap when a scent urged his mind to focus. He felt like it was almost a wolf a day now, with all the new faces he found around the pack territory. First that large brute, speaking of.. His eyes just happen to catch his giant frame moving through the clearing in front of him. Soto's eyes glistened with mischief but he stayed put. Instead he watched the big boy roll around like a pup in the dirt. He would have chuckled if he hadn't wanted to stay hidden, admiring Klaus from afar. Then as if he too now noticed the new comer he raised himself and stared in the direction of the scent. For a moment Soto wondered if Klaus was even allowed to welcome new-comers or if that was just a privileged they all shared. Was he even allowed to allow fresh meat into the pack? Soto questioned himself but shook his head.

He lost track of the brute while his mind was in control. Having to slowly slide down the other side of the tree like a cat emerging from the brush. His limbs long and limber compared to Klaus. Even his eyes and markings were more cat-like and cunning then the giant grunt lumbering his way toward the border. He noticed the long muscular tail sticking straight out and followed it, at a distance of course. Though to him it was quite a sight to say the least. He had never really been interested in other wolves until now.. His job taking up all his time and energy but this was kind of a nice view. He felt a coy smile roll over his lips but he remained as silent and stealthy as he could.

When at last they had reached the border, Soto decided his best view point being from above and gracefully crawled up a trunk and into the nearest tree. His body settling upon the first branch that looked like it would hold his weight. Now then.. He thought, his eyes scanning over the scene. He noticed first off the his pack mate was well.. Sneaking up on her? Questionable but the wind was not blowing to his advantage. His eyes then moved to the new comer. She was a dazzling piece of work, with a streak of red among the white and black hues of her coat. She stuck out like a toe in the middle of that tall grass.. Was she too trying to hide? Like two peas in a pod.. He chided to himself and shook his head. Slowly he got into a more comfortable position and waited to see exactly what this would turn into.

It was with a quick alteration in the motion of her ears that would first hint that Ripley had detected another. Sudden and with purpose they swiveled in the same direction, locking in on sounds though subtle, where not meant to be there. For the briefest of moments her hackles did rise up, the mohawk that ridged her spine now in its full glory, like a sail. If not for the scent that suddenly infiltrated her nares, Ripley would have perhaps been swifter, but the scent put the witch at ease. “Niklaus.” she spoke loud enough for anyone within earshot. Her gaze still concealed behind the red lids of her eyes. “You are as bad at sneaking up on me as you ever have been. A half ass attempt from you I'm sure.” You could almost hear the smirk in her words as they slid passed her blackened lips.

How long had it been since she had last seen Klaus? She wasn't sure anymore, she didn't really care to track the days, months, perhaps years? Her ringed tail unfurled from around her, thick and long with a plushness that did not suite the hardened lifestyle that the dame had lived. Long limbs stretching out lazily while a yawn parted her jowls, exposing her lovely incisors. Fluidly she rose to a stand, though not as tall as the man crouching in the grass, she herself was nothing to sneeze at as far as size went. Standing at her full 6 feet Ripley glanced over toward Klaus, her ears once more swiveling to and fro upon her crown while the scent of another trickled through her nostrils. This scent was more subtle and she wasn't quite sure where the other was located, but he was definitely near by. “Where you worried it was an intruder Niklaus? Is that why you have a friend hiding in the woods?” She could tell Klaus was of the pack she had come searching for, so at the very least she was among potential friends, but this did not lessen the risk of danger for her as an outsider.

She wasted no time, her sharp gaze was already scanning the area, trying to find signs of life along the tree line to at least get an idea of the other's position. It was second nature for the warrior, always be aware of your surroundings, keep tabs on all bodies around you. In a setting like this, it was much more relaxed, at least she wasn't in the center of a battlefield with bodies colliding, wolves dropping and blood dancing everywhere. No this was far more pleasant, but would it last in the end? She had been told of this pack's ultimate goal, she was warned that they wanted bloodshed. However, Ripley had nowhere else to go, and while she was still learning the lands, it was safest for her among her own kind as the divide was strong here. She knew there was no place for her elsewhere among the magick wolves.

Klaus Warborn
A warrior fights for what they believe in

Long lynx like ears flicked on his head as he slowly made his way towards Ripley. Knowing that she had already spotted him, or even smelled him before hand. It was when he heard his name come from her was when he raised his head up and smirked some. Large tail swayed back and forth as he walked up to the female and nudged her with his massive head. "Who said I was trying? After all your the one out in the open love" his baratoned voice rumbled slightly as he watched with careful eyes. She was still just as stunning as the day they met but he knew better then to think such things. Their time had passed, he had made his mistake and he lived with it.

But that was the past, he would hopefully be able to make things up to her and hopefully get back to being on good terms with her. Ears went fully back as he heard her say something about being worried about it being an itruder and that he needed a friend. A deep growl erupted from the male as his hackles rose up. Klaus spun around quickly his eyes narrowing as he lowered his head. Lips curled up slightly as he dug his claws into the ground to better ground himself just incase. Sure he was part of the pack but that didnt mean he wouldnt protect someone he knew from them. The smell to him was unfamiliar, he had not yet met this wolf.

Klaus knew better then to show so much aggressive behavor towards a pack memer but he just couldnt help but protect her. Slolwy his hackles went down and he allowed himself to relax a small amount as he still searched for who was following him. He only hoped that it wasnt Ven, he didnt want Ripley to go through what he did when he first got to the lands. Maybe this other member would be more towards asking with out a toxin rather then with one. "I had my doubts in the begining but once i knew it was you, i was fine. As for a freind, no i have not been here long enough to make such a thing." He turned and looked at Ripley.

Bi colored eyes turned back to where he had come from in hopes to catch a glimps of who ever had been following him. Had he been so unaware of his surroundings that he had allowed this wolf to follow him for so long? He shook his head slightly as he still looked around, he couldnt pick up where they where hidding, all he had was a general area. Which was in the trees just a little ways away. So who ever it was must be rather nimble and sleak to hide in such a place. Klaus' body was still rather tense as he still stood there just looking around.

He smirked at the tender reaction Klaus seemed to have toward the broad. the classic nudge and snuggle before the real talk began. he was perfectly cozy to just sit and watch the two love birds. Even though she was a bit stand offish in her body language. He sighed and his body relaxed along the wood, his rear leg slipping off the branch to lazily hang in the air. His head looking down for a moment to judge the distance of the forest floor to himself and missing the initial turn about play.

Soto's ears swiveling up on the top of his head and his eyes turning into slits before looking up at the pair once more. The female had just mentioned him with a soft statement he could hardly hear. Then the male turned on his tail and gave an aggressive approach to this situation. The aggression made it hard for him to want to reveal himself but he was supposed to be among pack mates.. Yet he still had his suspicions. "My name is Soto.." He mused from the tree, his body remaining relaxed and his expression not giving away his anxious side. "I also smelled an alluring scent and decided to take a look." He grinned at the male not truly wishing to egg him on but slightly amused by his reaction to protect her. "No harm, No foul." His voice was smooth and easy coming from lots of experience talking to those in an unpleasant setting.

Slowly he stood up on the branch and hopped down. His lithe body looking very delicate and graceful compared to the brute already at her side. "It is nice to meet you..." He paused and gave her a moment to respond. He legs seeming to prance right up to the pair but his eyes lay only upon her. His heading hanging down by his shoulders in an attempt to look non-threatening to them but he knew full well what he was capable of and if he was attacked by the male.. Well it wouldn't be the first time since coming back from war. The memory of a white and red wolf coming to mind and a small glint of hatred flickered in his other wise calm looking face.

Klaus' touch was as familiar to Ripley as a mother's touch was to a newborn pup. It was perhaps the only familiar thing left in her life. Her gaze shifted from her search and instead focused on Klaus as his posture took on a defensive stance. When Klaus got into an aggressive state his entire body seemed to permeate with an aura thick with promises of doom. Ripley had always known the brawny man to be quick to react and his default setting was often anger. Curious it was how Rip had never been on the receiving end of such a frequent default.

With Klaus on high alert the painted witch took to smoothing out her long tail, its banded form curling over front paws of white and black while slick muscle slid over the silken tendrils. In the past while grooming had become a must for Ripley. Like an odd tick to help deal with her ever changing life style. She noticed the posture change just slightly in the striped man, perhaps realizing it was not necessary. Not that he thought she was any more able to fend for herself, she was used to Niklaus seeing her as a weaker being, unable to take care of herself.

It was from the treetops that the voice of another man called out. His voice was effortless and level with no sign of aggression to it; surprising when one is dealing with a grumpy Klaus. Of course when one remains out of reach, it made sense that the other male was unbothered. Her golden eyes zeroed in on the man who called himself Soto, now with his words dancing through the space, it was easier to pinpoint the pale beast who looked far too comfortable in the treetops.

When Soto finally did descend the trees and grace the two with his presence it became apparent that he was comparable in size to Niklaus and herself, though he was svelte in build. With the pale man approaching Ripley did finally bring it upon herself to stand. Pushing herself up with her right hind leg, crimson red in hue, a mismatch to the rest of her obsidian limbs. Her long ears swiveling forward, taking in his greeting and offering a nod of her own. “A pleasure. I would have made myself known.... but the field was pleasant and made me eager for some rest.” Her words came out nonchalantly, her forelimbs spreading forward, bringing her body into a dip, stretching out her thorax while a yawn spread her jowls. As of late the woman had become less than careful, trying to break herself from the rigid lifestyle she had lead in the past.
